Launching our 2nd year partnership with Creative Visions on Students Rebuild: Unique & United

Unique & United helps young people explore the shared humanity between individuals, cultures, and communities and discover how understanding different perspectives can positively impact the world,” says Pat Chandler, CEO of Creative Visions. “We’re proud to support Ripples of Hope’s youth-focused efforts that foster connection and build bridges across differences.

We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Creative Visions on Students Rebuild: Unique & United. This exciting initiative invites young people (ages 5–25) to explore their identities and celebrate their differences. Through creative expression, they’re empowered to foster empathy, unity, and bold ideas that spark positive change in their communities and the world. Participants express their vision for a more united world through art, music, film, writing, and STEM. For each creative work or student engaged, Creative Visions will donate $5 to organizations fostering connection and championing collaborative change, including Ripples of Hope. With Creative Visions' support, we'll expand our International Fellowship, supporting South Africa-based fellows in using creative activities like dance and spoken word to promote cultural exchange and strengthen community bonds.

Ripples of Hope joins 10 other global organizations, including Choose Love, Green Horizons, Kids for Peace, Homeboy Industries, Narrative 4, Open Roads, CARE, Search for Common Ground, TREEAMS, and Welcoming America, to receive grants through the Unique and United Project. Youth participants will also have the opportunity at the end of the school year to vote and decide which of these organizations will receive an additional $50,000 to further their peace work.

Through our partnership, we are working with 7 of our community partners in South Africa: Kliptown Youth Program, City Year South Africa, Songo, Koena Art Institute, Uyanda Foundation (founded by Athi Ndwebi, class of 2024) , Dignity in Flow (ffounded by Jenine Scott, class of 2025) , and Botswalle: The Sisterhood Youth Foundation (co-founded by Khosikhadi Mmatlala wu Madau & Kgosi Tshabalala, classes of 2026 & 2025.)

The best part? everyone can get involved! All in our community can submit creative projects and track progress! We invite each of you in our community to join the movement: studentsrebuild.org/projects/unique
