October 2020 Women's Journey to Rwanda
Ripples will lead a service/learning journey to Rwanda for women. The journey will connect with some of the youth who have stories to share of their hope and resilience. We will visit Agahozo-Shalom Village which is the home of more than 500 young people working to overcome the trauma of profound poverty and great loss.

We will also meet with the women at Shooting Touch which is a program using the power
of sports to educate and empower youth, women and their communities to live healthier lives.

THE RIPPLES OF HOPE EXPERIENCE
The Ripples of Hope team creates a service experience that begins even before you get on the plane. Families will have a chance to learn about the history, partner organizations and culture of our host destination using the specially created resources and materials that you receive before your journey.
During the trip, family young people will have leadership opportunities and families receive Welcome Kits that include journals, t-shirts, hats and local snack offering. Ripples of Hope Family Service programs are designed with cultural explorations as the backdrop to the journey's immersive service experiences.

We ask our families to pack an open heart, collaborative and compassionate spirit, humility and respect for those we serve with as we travel throughout the local region discovering and learning about the people on our journey.
SERVE

Our service is developed in partnership with local not-for profit organizations who are leaders in their communities and are committed to effective and long-lasting change. Families will have the opportunity to engage in both “human” and physical service connecting with local children and people in need, transforming spaces, sharing meals and making lasting change.
